  • At Snithfield round about head up the Kuranda range to Mareeba
  • At Mareeba turn right heading north onto the town
  • Exit Mareeba at the northern end onto the Mulligan Highway
  • Head along the Mulligan Highway to Mt Malloy
  • After Mt Malloy drive the Mulligan Highway direction Cooktown
  • Pass through Mary Downs, Mt Carbine, Palmer River onto Lakeland Downs
  • At Lakeland Down keeping to the Mulligan Highway direction Cooktown
  • 45 kilometres from Lakeland Black Mountain appears and you will drive accross the Little Annan River causeway.
  • Shortly after the Little Annan River gorge crossing turn right at Shiptons Flat Road
  • Travel down Shiptons Flat Road until Sandy Creek Bridge.
  • Next road on the left is Mungumby Road, turn down this.
  • Mungumby Road is gravel but OK for rental cars. Mungumby Lodge is 4kms at the end of this road.
  • When you arrive at the Welcome sign drive into the property keep going past the cottage (LHS) into the rainforest until the entrance
