Directions to Royal Malewane
- From the Hoedspruit (Eastgate) Airport turn right onto the tar road and travel down this road to the T-Junction.
- You pass through an access control gate at the end of the road.
- Turn left onto the R40 (towards Klaserie).
- Travel down this road for about 20 km passing the Kapama Main Gate.
- Further on, you will pass the Hoedspruit Cheetah Breeding and Rehabilitation Centre's gate.
- You will reach a T-junction.
- At the T-Junction turn left towards Acornhoek and after about 1km turn left onto the Orpen Gate Road.
- Travel down this road for about 12km and shortly after passing the Timbavati Safari Lodge on your left, there is a gravel road on the left.
- Please turn down this Avoca Road. There is an access control gate on the entrance to this road.
- Travel 5.6 km down this gravel road.
- The entrance gate is on the left hand side and you will be met by a security guard at the gate.
- The security guard will radio the Lodge reception to advise of your arrival.
- There are no park or entrance fees to enter the reserve.
- From Johannesburg take the N12 to Witbank (now called Emalahleni)
- Take the N4 from Witbank (Emalahleni) Via Middleburg
- Turn left off the N4 to Belfast and drive through Belfast onto
- Drive through Dullstroom, Lydenburg (now called Mashishing)
- Drive through Ohrigstad through the JG Strydom Tunnel
- Drive on past the Tzaneen turn off on the left
- At the Khamai Reptile Park turn right onto the R531
- Follow that road, past Bombyx Mori Silk Farm on your left
- Moholoholo further down on your right
- Drive under the railway bridge and pass the Hoedspruit turn off to the left
- Turn left onto the Orpen Road
- Travel for a total of 12,5 km on the Orpen Road, you will be
- passing the Guernsey gravel road on the left as you go
- Turn left into the Avoca gravel road
- There is an access control gate here to sign you in (no fees are payable here)
- Travel along the Avoca Road (dirt road) for 5,2 km and turn left
- into the Royal Malewane Main Gate
- At Royal Malewane's gate turn right onto the Avoca Road (dirt road) and travel down this road for 5,2km to teh access control gate
- Turn right onto the Orpen Road and travel for a total of 12,5km to the T-junction at the end of the road
- Turn left onto the R40 to Acornhoek
- Travel straight through Acornhoek and onto the Bushbuckridge
- Pass through Bushbuckridge and onto Hazeyview
- Travel through Hazeyview turn right onto the White River Road R40
- From the WHite River Road, travel on in the direction of Nelspruit but turn left onto the Plaston/MIA Airport Road
- Travel down the Plaston Road and turn right onto R538 to Karino
- Travel on the R538 and then turn left to the KMIA Airport

- Turn right onto the Orpen Road and travel for a total of 12,5km to the T-junction at the end of the road
- Turn left onto the R40 to Acornhoek

- Travel through Hazeyview turn right onto the White River Road R40
- From the WHite River Road, travel on in the direction of Nelspruit but turn left onto the Plaston/MIA Airport Road
- Travel down the Plaston Road and turn right onto R538 to Karino
- Travel on the R538 and then turn left to the KMIA Airport
