- Exit the airport and follow the signs to San José, taking the Autopista General Cañas (Route 1).
- Follow the General Cañas Highway towards San José for approximately 15-20 kilometers. Stay in the right lane.
- Take the exit to Route 39, known as the Circunvalación, heading east towards Cartago.
- Follow the Circunvalación (Route 39) for about 10 kilometers. Stay in the right lane and follow the signs to San Pedro/Cartago.
- Take the exit to Route 2 (Carretera Interamericana Sur) in the direction of Cartago. Route 2 will take you directly south.
- Follow Route 2 south through Cartago.
- On the road to Perez Zelendo after Chespiritos you will find the entrance to San Gerardo on the right hand side. Turn off and continue 9 km
- Sal del aeropuerto y sigue las señales hacia San José, tomando la Autopista General Cañas (Ruta 1).
