Directions to Mosetlha Bush Camp & Eco Lodge

from: Lanseria International Airport [HLA]

  • From Johannesburg you are welcome to use your GPS/ Satnav to Lanseria, and then Marikana Toll Plaza
  • Travel along the N4 from Johannesburg towards Rustenburg, and as you go through the Marikana Toll Plaza, set your odometer to zero.
  • 5.9km - Kroondaal Ultra City (services) will be the last stop available for fuel/ toilet/ takeaway (No ATM) You will pass through Rustenburg
  • 27.0km - Take the Exit 169 signposted (R565) Sun City/Phokeng (you follow the Sun City signs from here).
  • 27.4km - At the traffic lights, turn right onto the R565.
  • 28.9km - At the big 4 way traffic lights, continue straight following the (R565).
  • 38.8km - At the roundabout turn left onto R565. This is approximately half-way through your journey.
  • 41.5km - You will see the Royal Marang Hotel on your right at the stop street. Keep going straight.
  • 61.8km - At the stop street continue straight on the R565 (signposted Derdepoort). This takes you alongside the Pilanesberg. DO NOT TURN R
  • At 71 km you will see the game fence of Pilanesberg Reserve along your right hand side.
  • 74.0km - Pass Shepherds Tree Game Lodge on your right.
  • 81.1km - You will cross over the 1st speed bump of “10 Bump Village”
  • 88.6km - Pass Black Rhino Reserve on your right.
  • 100.7km - Drive over a small bridge and very soon... Turn left into a road signposted Kayakulu.
  • 126.1km - At the T-Junction turn right – this road takes you through a few villages.
  • 140.0km - Pass Obakeng Village.
  • 146.4km - The road ahead is closed. Please follow the signposted route towards Derdepoort/ Molatedi.
  • 157.5km - As you enter Molatedi Village, the road becomes gravel and remains so for the last 6-7km.
  • The road is currently being paved, so there are roadworks and diversions but the route through is clearly marked.
  • 164.2km - You will arrive at a boom gate. This is not the actual reserve gate, but you are required to stop here.
  • 168.0km - Arrive at the Molatedi Gate and the Madikwe Game Reserve.
  • The gate guard will ask you to complete an entry form, and they will radio the camp to meet you at the meeting point.
  • S/he will give you written directions to the North West Parks Board Head Office, which should take you about 20 minutes for you to reach.
  • Drive straight along the road from the gate.
  • 180.5km - Turn left into the gate of the NWPB Head Office, and immediately left to park your car.

  • Head south on O.R. Tambo Airport Rd
  • Keep right
  • Slight left onto the R21 N ramp to City Center/Kempton Park/Pretoria
  • Merge onto R21
  • Take exit 134 for N1 N toward PolokwaneToll road
  • Merge onto N1
  • Take exit 156 for N4 toward RustenburgToll road
  • Continue onto N4Toll road (go through Marikana Toll Plaza)
  • Take the Exit 169 signposted (R565) Sun City/Phokeng (you follow the Sun City signs from here).

  • Head through Molatedi Village
  • Turn left towards Mantsho
  • Turn right at the T Junction towards Rustenburg (R565)
  • AT the 4 way stop continue straight towards Rustenburg (R565)
  • At the stop street continue on the R565 to Rustenburg (there is a good petrol station here)
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit towards Rustenburg (R565)
  • Turn right at the 4 way stop onto N4 towards Pretoria.
  • Merge onto N1Toll road
  • Take exit 134 to merge onto R21 toward Kempton Park
  • Continue straight to stay on R21
  • Take the exit toward Jones Road/O R Tambo International Airport
  • Take the ramp to Ortambo INT/Valet Parking
  • Take the ramp to Lodge
  • Continue straight
  • Merge onto O.R. Tambo Airport Rd
  • Keep right to stay on O.R. Tambo Airport Rd
